What is Life Coaching?

Time pressures can shut down people's creativity and we often end up spending more time planning our 2 week holiday than we do the rest of our life.  A lot of people don't actually know what they want but know what they don't want.  The problem here is that, if you keep focusing on what you don't want, you end up getting more of it.  By contrast, if you spend more time focusing on what you do want, you typically end up getting more of that which is obviously great!

 

I will listen to what you really want in a trusted, supportive, non judgmental manner and I act as a confidential sounding board.  We don't look back as to why we think or do things, that would be therapy, but we do concentrate on the present and future.

 

The simplicity of it is what makes it so powerful. I facilitate you in fulfilling your maximum potential and sense of well being in your life to a new improved, happier you.  You will learn how to reach small milestones on the way to long-term goals, breaking it down into achievable steps.  

 

You will have a heightened self-awareness for change and gain clarity, by powerful well timed questions.  It is your learning as a result that helps you become more resourceful and move forwards towards your desired goal.

 

Whether or not you have travelled over the same bumps as me, I don’t have your answers and I won’t attempt to give you advice and guidance.  Instead, I will offer you something far more powerful, the empowerment to unlock your own answers and solutions.  

 

By working with me, you will achieve your own answers quicker than if alone and will learn useful skills for life.  By finding your own answers, you will have a greater sense of achievement, and let's not forget that no one knows you better than you.  What I am going to help you achieve has always been possible but you just didn't know it or allow yourself the time or opportunity for it to happen.

Mindset

Motivation can stop at day 10 to 12 however much you want it but with the help of a coach regularly, your motivation can stay high and you can, as a result, learn how to self coach for the future.

 

Attitude is so important.  “Whether you believe you can or believe you can't, you are probably right”, Henry Ford.  With Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), I can help you become the more resourceful you by identifying and challenging unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviours that can hinder you achieving that goal and what you want.  


“Impossible isn't a fact but an opinion”, Muhammad Ali.  We can all gather evidence on whether we think we can or think we can’t based on our attitude.  The future depends on your perspective and attitude and what actions you take as a result.  Life is 5% what happens to you and 95% your attitude and how you respond.  As adults we can learn to change our limiting beliefs that can hold us back into empowering ones, and address our negative self talk.
