What does this mean to you?

Capacity to recover quickly from difficulties/Spring back into shape-Google states as definition. The truth is we are all doing our best. Stop comparing yourself to others or feel you constantly have something to prove. We each have different "stories of the world", priorities and values which shape how we tolerate adversities.

Most of us have found this current lockdown harder than the 1st. Winter itself can feel hard anyway and we are of course nearly a year into this pandemic. So many families have had to endure the reality of sudden deaths, cancer diagnoses and relationship breakdowns in addition to the pandemic as life goes on. Unfortunately, we cannot be in control of everything in life. What we CAN control though in advance is mindset and self care:

  • Remind ourselves of what we are truly grateful for.

  • Saying NO at appropriate times for self preservation.

  • Getting plentiful quality sleep.

  • Nurturing those important relationships in our lives.

  • Embracing the changes in nature whilst out on our walks.

  • Reminding ourselves that we "are alive" and can do anything if we believe and take action.

Nature is cyclical and we have to remind ourselves that realistically we cant feel permanently like we are in " Summer". We need to allow ourselves to rest and repair when needed and not be so self critical. We can then learn to thrive rather than just survive which will in turn make us feel stronger for life's bumps in the road ahead.

Are you comparing yourself to others? Are you being overly self critical?. Are you living or just existing? Lets look at your mindset together.

The best investment you will ever make is in yourself.
